Apogee Duet Drivers Snow Leopard Download
I recently updated my Mac OS X from Leopard (10.5) to Snow Leopard (10.6). Under the compatibility list on the Avid site, PT 7.3 LE is NOT compatible with anything above Leopard. I went ahead and ran the update anyway, and luckily PT continued to work just fine. However, I am having some issues with other Apps since the OS upgrade. I want to run a clean install, which means I'll have to install PT again from scratch. I've seen alot of forum threads about how PT 7.3 LE runs well on Snow Leopard, but nothing about installing onto Snow Leopard. The only info is speculation that the install might not work.
I have made a CustoMacPro March 2014. Have downloaded driver for Apogee Duet Firewire. It doesn't work. I a totally beginner so please explain.
I'm trying to find someone that has actually run the install onto Snow Leopard, and if they were successful or not. I've tried to contact Avid directly about this, but they now require a pay subscription account (that I don't have) for their support.
Driver Verify. You have no right to think that you must not update your drivers. It is strongly recommended to download and update your drivers right away. Since you are here it is the best time to do that. And also don't forget to come here next time when you decide to update another drivers. The latest Maestro 2 software from the Apogee downloads. Apogee Electronics has announced Snow Leopard compatibility for Duet, ONE, Mini-FW, USB and X-Firewire interfaces. New features of Snow Leopard-compatible Apogee. I had this exact problem when I went from snow leopard.

Thanks, -Adam. Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) Pro Tools software versions below 8.0.3 are Not Compatible with Snow Leopard. Pro Tools 8.0.3, 8.0.4, and 8.0.5 are free updates for all Pro Tools 8 owners. Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) Pro Tools LE 7.4.2 or Pro Tools LE 8 is required for Leopard Pro Tools 7.4.2 requires Mac OS X 10.5.3 or 10.5.4, and is not compatible with earlier versions of Leopard (not tested with 10.5.5 or higher) Pro Tools 8.0 requires Mac OS X 10.5.5, 10.5.6, 10.5.7, or 10.5.8, and is not compatible with earlier versions of Leopard Well 7.3 LE definitely works on OS X 10.6.8; I'm running it w/o problems. I'm curious if it will install as successfully as it runs on this OS version. I finally have enough money to update to PT 10! I'm really excited to try this new version.
I'll also be able to use my plug-ins again. I haven't been able to use them since the release of PT 8 LE, which phased out their compatibly w/ 7.3 LE. I'm hoping that PT 10 works well with my current computer.
It's a MacBook Pro (model 4,1). 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo (3 MB L2 Cache, 800Mz Buss Speed) with 4GB DDR2 SDRAM 667 MHz. I'm hoping that this will be enough to run PT 10 properly. Anyone running PT 10 on a machine simiiar to this MBP? How does it run?
I was looking at the new MBPs w/ the i7 Intels and 8GB/16GB of the DDR3L Memory. As much as I'd like one of these new models, I'm really hoping it doesn't come down to that. Also, now that you don't need a Digidesign Interface w/ PT 10, I'm thinking about buying a new one.
I'm currently using the MBox 2. Any suggestions on an interface? Something w/ 4 to 8 I/O.
I've read some good reviews for the MOTU units. Are the newer MBox models or Racks worth taking a look? I want something with quality mic pres. Thanks, -Adam.
Orpheus Prism and Apogee are renowned to have perhaps the best D/A A/D and pre amps if you want an 'all in one'. Otherwise you could go separate units - Pre amp, A/D D/A, interface etc. After checking out the Prism's 4k price tage, I was curious what the Apogee units ran. The Ensamble is 2k. Do they make any interfaces of the same quality, but with less channels? If I'm gonna upgrade from the MBox 2, I want to get something of high quality.

Not something that is middle of the road just because it's new.
